What is the StuTS?

StuTS is an abbreviation for Studentische Tagung Sprachwissenschaft. Students of various linguistic subject areas from all over Germany and partly from abroad will be coming together in Heidelberg to take part in the conference. They will have the chance to give and listen to speeches in the course of three days. Apart from the student presenters, professors of the University of Heidelberg will talk about their research in the context of keynotes. The academic program will be accompanied by a supporting program, which is supposed to present the city and the university to the participants. Besides, the supporting program offers another opportunity to talk to and get to know each other.

At the same time, the Bundesfachschaftentagung (BuFaTa) Sprachwissenschaft will be taking place. Here, linguistic issues will be discussed that go beyond the science itself.

We are looking forward to a varied program, new thoughts on language, numerous participants and – of course – much fun!
